What to Do When Your Child Will Be Absent

If your child is ill and needs to stay home, please call Cathie Page at 314-729-2495 to submit an absence. You may also wish to email your child's teacher. They will communicate with you ways your child can make up the work he or she missed. If you are going out of town, please let us know in advance, that way we can work with you on the work your child will need to do while they are gone. All missed work that is graded is expected to be made up.

Idea Center Transportation

Elementary PEGS Lindbergh Bus Riders to the Idea Center
Students coming to school on a bus will ride their bus directly to the Idea Center in the morning. The bus will first stop at the "home school" then continue on to the Idea Center to drop off your child.

Students leaving school on a bus will take bus # 60 to either Kennerly for Flyers Club or directly home.

Elementary PEGS Guardian Drop Off & Pick Up for the Idea Center
All vehicles must enter the LHS campus at the Commons parking lot entrance. No cars will be allowed to enter at the ECE entrance or the stoplight. Please use your yellow “IDEA” dashboard sign to help the individuals directing traffic make sure you are in the right lane when you enter the LHS campus.

Avoid campus during high-traffic times. It is important that we minimize the number of cars on campus during LHS student drop-off. Please make every effort to avoid the high school campus between 7:15 and 7:45 a.m., and 2:30 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.

AM drop off is 8:35-8:50 am  Attendance is taken at 8:55 am

PM pick up is 3:35 pm

Snacks and Water

This is a friendly reminder to send a healthy, easy snack and water bottle with your kiddo every day. Teachers and students are no longer allowed to share food at school. Snacks should be small enough to only take 5 minutes to eat.

Jackets/Hoodies

We suggest sending a jacket/hoodie to school for your child to leave in the classroom. Even when the weather is warm outside, the classroom might feel very cold for some.

Change of Clothing

Please send a change of clothing (Shirt, shorts, underwear, socks) in a ziplock bag. Please consider doing this even with older kids. They might need them after a muddy recess, for example. We will send them home when the weather changes to swap out with a warmer set of clothes.

Transportation for Middle School PEGS Students Residing in Truman Boundary

Truman students who ride a bus in the morning will take their bus directly to Lindbergh High School where they will get off the bus and gather at the Idea Center doors to be picked up by  bus # 1 and taken to Sperreng.

At the end of the day, Truman students requiring bus transportation home will take bus #60 or another assigned bus directly home.

For parents wishing to drop off or pick up, this must be done at Sperreng Middle School.  We will not be able to accommodate transportation from Truman Middle School for parent drop off and pick ups.
